Micheal A. Mitchell was born in Kingston, Jamaica, the third of seven sons, to Alfred and Myrtle Mitchell.  The Mitchell’s family moved to the United States in 1971.

Rev. Mitchell has been happily married to Vivienne Mitchell for 28 years; they reside in the county of Nassau.  They work together to fulfill the vision of the Lord in the borough of Brooklyn, New York. 

Rev. Mitchell received an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Queensborough Community College.  He also received a Certificate in Theology from Kent Christian College External Study Program (VIEW).

In April 1989, at the age of 29, Rev. Mitchell was appointed Pastor of New Life Tabernacle with twelve members.  He continues to pastor the New Life Tabernacle Church in Brooklyn, New York with a current membership of over 1200 people and an average weekly attendance of 1300.

In 1997, Rev. Mitchell received a vision from God to establish satellite churches while he was in attendance at the Holy Ghost Crusade in the country of Ethiopia.  In the next four years he became the founder of four satellite churches within different communities of Brooklyn, New York.  To date, eleven churches have been established in Brooklyn, New York as a result of Pastor Mitchell’s ministry.

Rev. Mitchell has held several offices in the United Pentecostal Church International.  He was a former Youth President of the New York Metro District for 7 years; former member of The General Youth Committee for 7 years; former member of the Black Evangelism Committee for 2 years; former Home Missions Director of the New York Metro District for 5 years; and former North East Regional Home Missions Director for 6 years.  He also served as Section #2 Secretary for the New York Metro District.  He currently serves on the General Sunday School Division Pastoral Advisor Committee for the United Pentecostal Church International and is the Section #2 Presbyter for the New York Metro District.

A visionary and an evangelist, Rev. Mitchell preaches and teaches at camps and crusades on the local, district, national and international levels including South Korea, England and Ethiopia.

In 2005, Rev. Mitchell completed his first book titled Bread Crumbs Volume 1 and in 2006, he produced his second book, Bread Crumbs Volume 2.  Within these books are compilations of messages that God had given him.  It is his sincere desire that these messages will empower the body of Christ for his service.
